Our Sustainability Journey Started With Our Materiality Matrix

Sustainability work has become a necessity, not an option anymore in our world. The common responsibility of all of us is to "do sustainable work"...
How we can carry this responsibility is an area of action for everyone. In this environment where businesses and industries must lead the change and transformation processes, we, as Kastaş Sealing Technologies, are transforming and shaping many of our activities for a sustainable world with the step we took 2 years ago.
While keeping the sustainability ecosystem alive and creating benefits for the society, we are advancing our activities for a sustainable world for our organization, employees and stakeholders with a goal-oriented approach in line with our vision and sustainability policy.

We cannot improve anything we cannot measure. We conducted a research to reveal our "Materiality Matrix" with the contributions of our employees and stakeholders in order to put forward a sustainability policy and carry out activities in this field, to be a sustainable brand and to make these ways of doing business measurable within ourselves.
In the project carried out jointly with an expert consultancy organization, 29 different headings that will give the materiality matrix output were determined meticulously and in a way to cover every process. With the research questions we directed to our stakeholders and employees within the scope, we received value-added and important feedback on many other topics such as Combating the Climate Crisis and Reducing Carbon Emissions, Energy Efficiency, Water Management, Waste Management, Biodiversity. As a result of the study, our Materiality Matrix was revealed by analyzing it with the relevant methodologies. This study, in which we combined the very important and high value-added feedback of all our stakeholders and employees with expert methodologies, was a milestone that will provide us with long-term benefits on the positive growth axis of the sustainability journey and contribute to our journey of improvement and transformation starting from our own ecosystem.
The most basic state of the matter is to find a solution to a problem or to expand a good business with a focus on social improvement by focusing on the values ​​in the organizational culture and by having all employees and stakeholders adopt these. We will continue to move forward into the future with our "Sustainability Report", which we aim to publish in February 2024.
