K518X is a high-performance double acting compact piston seal that consists of one NBR profile ring, thermoplastic elastomer support rings, and glass-reinforced PA guide rings. Among similar double-acting piston seals, K518X comes forward with its TPE support rings with special geometry which enhances the extrusion resistance at variable pressures of mobile hydraulic applications and glass-reinforced PA guide rings that provides higher load bearing performance at higher temperatures.

NBR sealing ring of K518X is designed to ensure abrasion resistance without compromising from high static and dynamic sealing. Split back-up rings of K518x, made of TPE, are designed to perfectly support NBR ring from extrusion in challenging operating conditions such as high pressures, peak pressures, high frequency applications. The guide rings have a grooved design which allows the sealing ring to be energized easily while the Glass-reinforced PA material both with stands 45% higher axial loads compared to similar seals and preserves its load bearing capacity and dimensional stability at higher temperatures.
